F1 Academy Netherlands - Race 2: Doriane Pin takes her revenge
F1. Fifth in the first race after a penalty, the Frenchwoman set the record straight with a masterly victory in Zandvoort.
Starting from pole position, Doriane Pin had all the cards in hand to win. However, she still had to master the pitfalls of the Zandvoort track and stay ahead of her opponents, including the fastest of them all, the British driver Abbi Pulling, throughout the 17 laps scheduled for this race.
Victorious just a few hours earlier in the first race of the weekend and starting second, Pulling had her work cut out for her against Maya Weug. At home, the Dutch driver, who had already finished third in the first race, managed to outdo the current championship leader.
In front, Pin unrolled to secure his second victory of the season. The first one since the start of the F1 Academy season in Saudi Arabia in early March. A good omen before the last three meetings that will take place in Singapore, Qatar, and Abu Dhabi.
