Ferrari offered its fans a thrilling moment: the start-up of the engine of its SF-25! A key moment for the tifosi, which officially marks the beginning of the 2025 season for the Scuderia.


It's an unmissable ritual in F1: the first engine ignition, also called « fire-up ». Ferrari shared this moment with its fans through a video posted on social media. This first start of the turbo hybrid V6 took place in front of the Scuderia's elite: Piero Ferrari, vice-president, Benedetto Vigna, head of Ferrari, Frédéric Vasseur, team director, Jérôme d'Ambrosio, deputy director, freshly arrived from Mercedes.
This first start-up of the V6 turbo hybrid officially marks the debut of the SF-25, which will be driven by Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton.
A loaded testing schedule
Ferrari is not just making noise. The team is already in action! In recent weeks, they have been conducting tests with a single objective: to gather as much data as possible before the season.
- Fiorano: first laps with the old SF-23
- Barcelona: tests with a modified SF-24 to anticipate the 2026 aerodynamic rules
Two dates to absolutely mark!
- February 18: Ferrari unveils its SF-25 at the F1 75. New livery, new design… everything will be revealed in photos and videos after the presentation
- February 19: Action time with the Fiorano shakedown. Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton will drive the SF-25 for the first time on Ferrari's legendary test track. An opportunity for engineers to observe the first reactions of the car before the start of the season
And after? Heading to Bahrain, where the official tests will take place before the big F1 return in Melbourne for the Australian Grand Prix.
