Pierre Gasly: « I see opportunities, unknowns to embrace »
On the eve of a Monaco Grand Prix full of promise for Alpine, Pierre Gasly displays a determined calm. Between strategy, adaptation to new developments and clear ambitions, the Frenchman looks ahead to a crucial weekend.

Monaco is never a Grand Prix like the others. For Pierre Gasly, it's mainly a playground where surprises are not necessarily traps. "I see opportunities, unknowns to embrace rather than fear," he confides to journalists, in a tense paddock between yachts and cameras.
One of these major unknowns is the change in format, without a Sprint race but with an evolution in the qualifying procedure. Gasly sees it as an opportunity to lift Alpine from the dullness of the midfield. « I think it will open potential strategic opportunities, on which we will need to be spot on. »
A revitalized Alpine group?
The French team had a complicated start to the season, and Monaco could well be a turning point. The relationship between Gasly and his teammate Esteban Ocon, often scrutinized, seems to have calmed. « I spoke with Charles [Leclerc] after the Imola race, everything is clear between us. » A way to remind that the paddock can quickly become tense, but also relax.
Technically, the A524 seems more suited to this type of slow and winding track. Gasly, in any case, doesn't hide his ambitions. It's a circuit that doesn't forgive, but it can reward the bold. It's up to us to play.
Objective Q3, or better?
When asked about his concrete expectations, Gasly remains measured but determined: "If we manage to put everything together on Saturday, I think we can aim for Q3. And in Monaco, being well placed on the grid is 80% of the work." A tactical clarity that contrasts with the frustration at the beginning of the year.
To be continued: a calm, focused Pierre Gasly, possibly lying in wait to surprise everyone on Sunday.
