Why won't there be an F1 season launch at the O2 Arena in 2026?
According to rumors, Formula 1 will not hold a spectacular season launch until the 2026 season.

As the 75th anniversary of F1 approaches, the ten teams officially unveiled their new liveries during a joint launch event at the O2 Arena in London.
The event not renewed in 2026?
This event, organized to celebrate 75 years of sport, took place in front of a large audience on site.
It was the first time in Formula 1 history that all ten teams were gathered before pre-season testing to jointly present their new colors.
But according to rumors, a similar event will not be held again before the 2026 season. F1 might consider organizing another F1 75 Live-type event on the occasion of another significant milestone in the future.
The 2025 edition had been overall a success, with more than 1.1 million live viewers on the F1 YouTube channel. Fans could purchase tickets to attend the event in person, while artists like MGK and Take That provided the entertainment.
The 2026 rules, a key factor
Unlike in 2025, when the regulations remained stable during the winter, the teams are currently mobilized for one of the biggest technical reforms in the history of the discipline.
In 2026, new rules regarding both chassis and engines will come into effect, putting additional pressure on the 11 teams.
A shakedown is also scheduled to take place behind closed doors in Barcelona before the official tests, which reduces the available time and makes a media event like F1 75 Live hardly compatible with logistical requirements.
Moreover, certain teams still prefer to unveil their cars elsewhere. Ferrari, for example, conducted a shakedown of its 2025 car less than 24 hours after the London event, directly at Maranello.
Williams, for its part, had already showcased the FW47 in a different livery before the official launch at the O2 Arena.
