Charles Leclerc gives Ferrari the win this Sunday evening at the United States Grand Prix. Despite a fierce battle between Lando Norris and Max Verstappen, the Monegasque prevailed at the Circuit of the Americas, thanks to a bold start, earning him the title of Driver of the Day.
Perfect operation for Ferrari, who completed a one-two on the Circuit of the Americas. Charles Leclerc took the lead from the first corner and was never threatened again. Max Verstappen, third, strengthened his championship lead over Lando Norris, fourth.
Lewis Hamilton had a disastrous qualifying session at the US Grand Prix, being eliminated from Q1 for the first time since the Chinese Grand Prix. A front suspension failure during the Sprint disrupted his preparation. The Briton, who will start from 18th position, is considering a pitstop in view of his Mercedes' performance problems.
Lando Norris responded with his second consecutive pole position, ahead of rival Max Verstappen, while Q3 was interrupted by George Russell's off-track excursion. Lewis Hamilton could do no better than 19th!
