According to the Danish TV channel TV2, Frederik Vesti will therefore be driving for Mercedes during the first free practice session in Mexico, replacing George Russell.<\/p>\n<p>Although this announcement is not yet official, it seems very credible: Mercedes, like the other teams, will be obliged to give a chance to young drivers and Frederik Vesti is currently part of the Mercedes young driver program. Moreover, the Danish driver is competing for the Formula 2 title: he is in second place behind Th\u00e9o Pourchaire with a 12-point deficit.<\/p>\n<p>Frederik Vesti is a very serious candidate for entry into Formula 1. Highly competitive this year in Formula 2, solid and composed, he could dream of a place in the pinnacle of motor racing.
