Member of Alpine F1 since February 2022 as Executive Director in charge notably of engine development, Bruno Famin will join the management committee of the Alpine brand and take the lead of Alpine’s activities in all disciplines of motorsport in which the brand is involved.<\/p>\n
A great promotion for the French engineer who will be able to leverage his extensive and rich experience as a leader in automobile sports across various categories. Having spent a large part of his career at Peugeot Sport, Famin achieved success at Le Mans with the Lion brand when he was the technical director during the victory of the Peugeot 908 in Sarthe in 2009. He also led Peugeot’s sports department during the brand’s three consecutive successes at the Dakar Rally between 2016 and 2018.<\/p>\n
In its press release to announce Famin’s promotion, Alpine outlines the new organization of its management team.<\/p>\n
The new organization will contribute to simplifying and strengthening the governance of Alpine under the leadership of Laurent Rossi, through the creation of functional departments, following the appointments this year of Philippe Krief as VP Engineering and Product Performance, and Antonio Labate as VP Sales, Marketing and Customer Experience.<\/p>\n
With his new responsibilities, Bruno Famin will be in charge of the F1 program, as well as the Endurance program in preparation for Alpine’s entry into the Hypercar category next year. He will also contribute to the future Dacia Rally-Raid program with technical support from Alpine.<\/p>\n
With this announcement, Alpine confirms its ambition to establish itself in the long term as a reference in the main categories of motorsport. Bruno Famin will supervise all the teams, from Formula 1 to Endurance, including customer competition such as Rally-Raid, where Alpine will provide technical support to Dacia for its Dakar project. He will also be in charge of the Alpine Academy, with the objective of detecting and supporting young drivers. Lastly, Bruno Famin will continue to lead the Alpine Racing factory in Viry-Ch\u00e2tillon, which provides high-performance engines for all these categories.<\/p>\n
