Two months after the presentation, Guy Austin, project manager, discusses the progress of the work on Aston Martin’s new headquarters in Silverstone. The first building is nearly ready<\/b> to welcome the team who will move in within a month. The electrical and plumbing work is being completed, while the furniture will arrive soon. New machines are also being installed.<\/p>\n
All the workers work tirelessly to ensure that the site is ready on time. As Guy Austin explains, they start working at 7:30 in the morning and finish around 4:00 or 4:30 in the afternoon. But we also have a night shift team. They start in the mid-afternoon, overlap with the day shift team, and finish between 10 and 12 at night.<\/p>\n
A second building housing the staff’s restaurant, a gym, and simulators will soon be built. Construction is set to begin in June or July and is expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2024, just like the wind tunnel, construction of which will start next month<\/b>. This will allow Fernando Alonso’s team and Lance Stroll to be independent of the Mercedes wind tunnel.<\/p>\n
