Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc finished the Friday session in the top 5, with the Monegasque driver even setting the fastest time in Saturday morning’s session. When asked about these tests, Sainz expressed confidence in Ferrari’s ability to compete on an equal, or almost equal, footing with Red Bull on the straightaways.<\/p>\n

Overall, the Spanish driver is satisfied with his team’s tests and his understanding of the car.<\/p>\n
(I) “I manage to test many more things, to better understand the car and the direction I want it to take in the future. [I have been able to] come back and try different things, which is something I was not able to do very well last year and it compromised my first half of the season a bit. This time, I think I have a much clearer understanding,” he asserts.<\/p>\n
On a personal level, his goal now is to win more races in order to compete for the top of the rankings.<\/p>\n
