They have been on trial at the Northampton court since January 25<\/a> for the criminal offense of public nuisance. After more than eight hours of deliberation, the jurors have delivered their guilty verdicts and believe that the six activists have posed a “serious threat” to Formula 1 drivers and race officials.<\/p>\n

One of the six individuals has already been convicted for disrupting a Premier League match by attaching themselves to the goalpost and for sticking to a Van Gogh painting in a London gallery last June.<\/p>\n

All have been released on bail after agreeing not to get involved in any further demonstrations. They will return to court on March 31st to hear their sentence. They could face a prison sentence.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
