In 2022, Max Verstappen will have achieved the highest number of victories, 15<\/u> and the highest number of points in a season, which is 454. Securing his second consecutive world champion title at the Grand Prix of Japan, the Red Bull driver dominated the category this season.<\/p>\n

Both performance and consistency…<\/h2>\n

So in 2023, the goal will be to beat a new one: the record for the highest number of consecutive races finished with points. This record is currently held by Lewis Hamilton. The British driver has finished no less than 48 consecutive races in the points between the 2018 British Grand Prix and the 2020 Bahrain Grand Prix.<\/p>\n

This new record surpasses the old one, also held by Lewis Hamilton between the 2016 Japanese Grand Prix and the 2018 French Grand Prix, with a total of 33 consecutive races in the points.<\/p>\n

Verstappen up for the challenge<\/b><\/p>\n

So far, the Dutch driver has only managed to score points in 19 consecutive races, but his performances place him in the top 10 Formula 1 drivers of all time. The challenge seems far from being too ambitious for someone who has swept everything this year.<\/p>\n

To do so, he will have to position himself in the points for each race of the upcoming season, which is absolutely achievable if Red Bull resolves its reliability issues by the beginning of the season.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
