Starting from the grid this Sunday, Max Verstappen went solo for most of the race. With a 146-point lead over the vice world champion Charles Leclerc, the Dutch driver’s only concern was managing his tires. He even claims that he could have gone faster!<\/p>\n
It was a somewhat solitary race, but the focus was on taking care of the tires. We didn’t know if we should make 1 or 2 pit stops, and I wanted to go faster, but the team asked me to slow down. It was the right thing to do, they were right, and I brought the car home, that’s what matters.<\/p>\n
On social media, the Red Bull driver celebrated his victory, not forgetting to mention Dietrich Mateschitz, the founder of Red Bull who passed away on October 22nd.<\/p>\n
\u00ab Unfortunately, this season will also have been the one in which we lost Dietrich, but I am very grateful that we were able to make an impact this season. Now it’s time to recharge our batteries to be able to give our best in the next season!<\/p>\n

Max Verstappen expressed his admiration and respect for Sebastian Vettel, who was racing the final race of his career today, even though he hopes to see him back on the track someday.<\/p>\n
I don’t know what’s next for Sebastian Vettel but he is a legend in this sport, an amazing person, and these are beautiful moments shared with him. I hope he will be here in the future and that we will see him again.<\/p>\n
An opinion that many other drivers seem to share. Perhaps we can still hope to see the four-time world champion again one day…?<\/p>\n
