Haas has filed a complaint against Alonso and Perez’s cars after the USA Grand Prix. While the FIA received the complaint despite it being submitted late by Haas, Perez was found to be in compliance with the regulations, unlike Alonso.<\/p>\n
The Haas F1 Team has filed an appeal regarding Sergio Perez’s car, deemed unsafe during the race due to a broken piece of his front wing. The FIA has decided to consider this appeal, even though it was filed 31 minutes after the allowed deadline, as the FIA deemed that the deadline could not have been met by exerting its power as stated in Article 13.3.5 of the sporting regulations.<\/p>\n
Haas has experienced similar situations this season with Magnussen being shown black and orange flags, asking him to address the dangerous situation on his car. Haas believes that the identical case here has been treated differently.<\/p>\n
Mr. Bauer [Head of track marshals] explained that once the piece of the Red Bull wing was broken, he received photographs detailing that the wing was not dangerous. Mr. Tombazis [FIA Deputy Delegate of Commissioners] estimated that the car was not dangerous.<\/p>\n
