The car, which participated in 4 races in 1989, is the only non-McLaren single-seater to have achieved a pole position in 1989. It will also be used as a reserve car.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s Franck Williams who acquired the race car at the end of the season. The chassis, in comparison to the FW12B, incorporated the new Renault engine as well as a return to passive suspensions.<\/p>\n<p>Only 5 chassis were built for the FW12C.
