Sebastian Vettel was given a 5-second penalty at the end of the Dutch Grand Prix and one point deducted from his license. He did not respect the blue flags shown during an exit from the pit lane during the Grand Prix.<\/p>\n
The blue flag allows for several things. In a Grand Prix, if a driver is about to be overtaken by a faster driver who has lapped them, the blue flag is waved. Vettel was penalized for leaving the pits, while Hamilton was coming onto the track. Despite several flags shown for Vettel, he did not abide by them.<\/p>\n
