After a long-term contract following the 2018 season and the return of the Alfa Romeo name to Formula 1 the following season, the team has decided to renew its trust with Sauber for the 2023 season. This was announced officially by Alfa Romeo’s director, Jean-Philippe Imparato, during a press interview last Friday.<\/p>\n
“Every year in July, we assess the situation. If in the future we realize that we are more interested or if we do not see any returns on our investments, then we will see what we will do,” said the team’s director to Reuters journalists.<\/p>\n
During an interview with Autosport, he also stated that he believed he had the best possible return on investment on Earth before adding further details on the economic model they are based on.<\/p>\n

Sauber was also able to confirm the extension of the contract as part of the multi-year commitment already signed.<\/p>\n
