This 26-year-old British man will assist track engineers in choosing strategies during the Grand Prix and also in improvising according to race situations.<\/p>\n<p>This newcomer will take a seat on the pit wall, on one of the 7 seats allowed by the FIA. This excludes Mattia Binotto&#8217;s seat who has decided to attend the races, just like Toto Wolff has been doing for a long time, from the team&#8217;s garage.<\/p>\n<p>The previous strategy manager was Inaki Rueda, who is now becoming the sports director of the Italian team.<\/p>\n<p>When we started the restructuring in February, Laurent Mekies took the lead as race director and Inaki Rueda as sporting director. So, we were missing a strategist. \u00bb explains the Italian.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab From now on, after several weeks of adjustment, they have taken full responsibility for their roles. The latest news is the arrival of Ravin Jain who will take his place on the pitwall.<\/p>\n<p>Jain worked as an intern a few seasons ago at Caterham and then for Williams as a software designer in the strategy team, before joining Ferrari in 2016 when he was finishing his studies at Oxfort.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab He is a very young engineer selected through our engineering academy. He has a career somewhat similar to what Charles Leclerc had with the Ferrari Driver Academy.<\/p>\n<p>Mattia Binotto, in view of cost reduction, and to allow him to better monitor the development process of the 2022 Ferrari, does not participate in all the GPs this season.
