Hamilton continues to break Michael Schumacher’s records
Forbes magazine published the list of Formula 1 drivers who have amassed the largest career earnings. With his $489 million, Lewis Hamilton surpasses by about $25 million the fortune accumulated by driver Michael Schumacher.

The five-time world champion has accustomed us in recent years to breaking symbolic records in F1. With his 84 pole positions, Hamilton has consigned to oblivion the previous record held by Michael Schumacher, one of the icons of motorsport.
Today, the Briton excels in a completely different field. With a total of 435 million euros earned over the course of his career, Hamilton places himself for the first time at the top of the podium for Formula 1 drivers who have accumulated the highest career earnings. Leaving behind Schumacher as well as a certain Fernando Alonso, one of his greatest rivals on the track.
With his record contract of 50 million dollars per year with the Mercedes team, expiring at the end of 2020, and the promising results at the beginning of the year, it’s no surprise that Lewis quickly reaches the symbolic mark of half a billion dollars.
