Vettel penalized by 3 grid places in Austin!
Due to not respecting the red flags during the first free practice session, Sebastian Vettel will be penalized with a 3-place grid drop at the United States Grand Prix.
This is another setback in the championship for Sebastian Vettel and Ferrari. Indeed, the German will be relegated three places on the grid for the start, following a speeding violation when the first practice session was under a red flag.
The red flag was caused by the gravel deposited by Charles Leclerc when the Monegasque went off track.
In addition to conceding no less than a 67-point deficit to his rival, Lewis Hamilton, the Scuderia hopeful will start further back than expected.
The probabilities of Hamilton becoming a five-time world champion in the United States, for the second time in his career, have drastically increased.
Can Vettel return to the race and thus allow the fight for the world crown to continue until Mexico?
Has a difficult job just become impossible?
