2016 Australian Grand Prix: Live Coverage
The 2016 F1 season starts on the other side of the planet, in Australia. As usual, Motorsinside.com brings you the full Race live.

119 days after the checkered flag of the last Grand Prix 2015 in Abu Dhabi, here we are in Melbourne for the kickoff of the new season! As has been customary for 20 years now (with the exception of the 2006 season), Melbourne’s Albert Park is the setting for this opening act.
Double world champion, Lewis Hamilton will start in a few moments from Pole Position, ahead of his teammate Nico Rosberg. Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Räikkönen are lurking on the second row. Dominant since the beginning of the weekend, Lewis Hamilton will be eager to secure the 44th victory of his career, a symbolic number that accompanies him on his car. Will Nico Rosberg, having been outperformed, be able to reverse the trend and continue his impressive streak of three victories achieved at the end of last season? But can Ferrari also counter the forward march of Mercedes? Even though the Gray team has the upper hand, fans are hoping for a showdown at the top today in Australia!
Just behind, we will closely monitor the race of Max Verstappen, fifth on board his Toro Rosso. The young Dutchman will have a tough challenge against Massa’s Williams or even Carlos Sainz Jr or Daniel Ricciardo, who are on the fourth row. Dan the Man will want to shine in front of his home crowd more than anyone else! A bit further back, let’s notably welcome the grand return of Renault as a constructor. Can the French team make up for the delay in announcing its return to climb back up the ranks? On its side, for its grand debut in F1, what is the level of competitiveness of the American team Haas, which has recruited Frenchman Romain Grosjean?
As the Formula 1 paddock experienced a particularly eventful Saturday in Melbourne with the resounding failure of the new Qualification format, let’s now hope that the sport fully takes its course this Sunday. The races at the heart of Albert Park are often spectacular, and we hope this edition will be of that caliber!
The questions are numerous. Beginning of answers with the first 58 laps of this 2016 Formula 1 season.
Gentlemen pilots, it’s your turn!
