For three seasons, ART Grand Prix has benefited from a strengthened association with McLaren. The arrival of Honda in Woking has resulted in the presence of Japanese drivers within the French team.

The difficulty for these drivers coming from the Land of the Rising Sun is that they generally discover an entirely new category as well as all the European circuits they have never raced on before in their careers. This necessarily requires an adaptation period, which inevitably affects performance.

But it must be acknowledged that Nobuharu Matsushita has a more than honorable 2015 record, with one victory and two podiums. He therefore made a clear contribution to winning the Constructors’ title, alongside the formidable Stoffel Vandoorne.

The 22-year-old driver intends to succeed his former teammate on the list of winners: I would like to thank Honda and ART Grand Prix for giving me the opportunity to continue racing in GP2. ART Grand Prix won both championships last year. I am very honored to be part of such an incredible team. As a member of the Honda Formula Dream Project, which aims to be the best driver in the world, I will give everything to win the Drivers’ and Teams’ championships in my second season in GP2.
