Mercedes: Hamilton isn’t comfortable this weekend, Rosberg continues
Nico Rosberg continues to be the poleman this season. The German has for the sixth consecutive time outpaced Lewis Hamilton, who, on the contrary, still hasn't found the right settings in his Mercedes.

Mercedes locked out, this Saturday in qualifying in Abu Dhabi, its fifteenth and last front row of the season. Even though Lewis Hamilton achieved the most poles this year, the last six pole positions have been claimed by a reinvigorated Nico Rosberg. Today again, the German impressed by leading his teammate by 0.377 seconds, with moreover a slightly more worn engine.
Nico Rosberg could therefore rejoice in his performance of the day: « Normally, I’m not too excited when I secure a pole, since you don’t score points on Saturday. But this time, my feelings are really excellent. My last lap felt absolutely fantastic, and it’s great to start once again from the first place. »
At the end of the season, the former Williams driver clearly takes the upper hand over his teammate in qualifying. Nothing has fundamentally changed according to the German: « At the beginning of the season, the gap was always just as small, but [Hamilton] was ahead of me, so it’s good to reverse the roles. »
Is Lewis Hamilton already on vacation? The question is legitimate given how much the Englishman’s superiority seems to have vanished, at least since he secured his title in Austin. “I fought with the car all weekend,” he admitted. “I made a lot of changes to try to solve these problems, but I still don’t feel comfortable in the car. I did what I could tonight, but Nico was simply faster and did a great job in Q3.”
