Ericsson: I didn’t know what to expect with Sauber
Marcus Ericsson, despite some initial reservations, ultimately appears very happy with his cooperation with Sauber. The Swiss team will retain the same line-up next year: a guarantee of stability for the Swede.

The misfortunes of last season are far behind for Sauber. The Swiss team did not score a single point in 2014. This year, on the contrary, Felipe Nasr and Marcus Ericsson have restored the honor of the team based in Hinwil.
Rookie of this season, the Swedish driver admits he didn’t know what he was getting into: I didn’t know what to expect. Sauber is a team with a great history… but Sauber also had a very complicated season last year when I arrived; it was absolutely unclear what it would be like and where we would start from. To be honest, it has exceeded my expectations, we have been contenders for points in almost every race.
For next season, the line-up at Sauber remains unchanged as Felipe Nasr and Marcus Ericsson have been retained by the team. The former Caterham driver appreciates: “I think it’s a good thing because it will bring stability to the team. We now know the ins and outs, we know how to work, and we know the mentality. We are both very involved with the car for next year, talking with the engineers about what we want from this car.”
Felipe Nasr is currently in 13th place in the championship with 27 points and Marcus Ericsson in 18th place with 9 points scored. Sauber is in 8th place in the Constructors’ Championship with 36 points.
