Oliver Turvey joins Nelson Piquet at Nextev
The reigning Formula E champion now knows his teammate: it will be Oliver Turvey, who already made an appearance during the last weekend in London last season.

The first participation of Oliver Turvey in Formula E went well as he was able to finish in the top 10 during both races of the London weekend. This convinced the team directors to trust him for the upcoming season. The driver could only be delighted: « The team gave me a fantastic opportunity when they contacted me for the season finale in London, and I am thrilled that my performance led them to allow me to be present for the entire season. »
The 28-year-old driver will have a busy season as he retains his responsibilities as a test driver at McLaren. He also has a full program in the Japanese Super GT championship, thanks to Honda’s arrival as McLaren’s engine supplier: “I would like to thank McLaren and Honda for their support and for allowing me to race in Formula E alongside my F1 test sessions and my racing commitments in Super GT.”
There are now only three seats left for the upcoming season: the two at Team Amlin and Simona de Silvestro’s teammate at Andretti.
