The first participation of Oliver Turvey in Formula E went well as he managed to finish in the top 10 in both races of the London weekend. This convinced the team’s directors to trust him for the upcoming season. The driver could only be delighted: « The team offered me a fantastic opportunity when they contacted me for the season finale in London and I am thrilled that my performance led them to allow me to be present for the entire season. »

The 28-year-old driver will therefore have a busy season as he retains his responsibilities as a test driver with McLaren. He also has a full program in the Japanese Super GT Championship, thanks to Honda’s arrival as McLaren’s engine supplier: « I would like to thank McLaren and Honda for their support and for allowing me to compete in Formula E alongside my F1 testing sessions and my racing commitments in Super GT. »

There are therefore only three seats remaining for the upcoming season: the two at Team Amlin and the one for Simona de Silvestro’s teammate at Andretti.
