Jaime Alguersuari absent from Formula E Season 2
The former Formula 1 driver is forced to withdraw from the second season of Formula E due to health issues.

Before the last Formula E race weekend, the Spanish driver’s license was suspended for medical reasons as he lost consciousness following the Moscow round. It was on his Facebook account that the Spanish driver announced he will not participate in this second season with the newly named DS Virgin team: « As you know, last June I lost consciousness after the Moscow ePrix. Since this loss of consciousness, my license has been suspended while the FIA medical commission conducts further research. In July, I underwent a series of tests to find out what I have. Unfortunately, there hasn’t been a diagnosis yet. That’s why I can’t participate in the 2015/2016 FIA Formula E Championship with the DS Virgin Racing team. I take this opportunity to wish the team good luck and thank everyone for their support. In September I will be able to announce my future plans. For now, have a great summer everyone».
During this first Formula E season, Sam Bird’s teammate finished 13th in the championship, with his best result being a 4th place. At DS Virgin, there is still a spot available since Sam Bird has already been confirmed by the Franco-British team.
