Vettel surprised by the potential of the Ferrari
Sebastian Vettel admitted to being surprised by his start to the season with Ferrari. The German driver says he is happy to be in Maranello and hopes to be able to challenge Mercedes.

Four-time Formula 1 world champion Sebastian Vettel left Red Bull to join Ferrari at the end of last season. In 2014, Ferrari experienced one of the worst seasons in its history, but this year the German driver managed to get the Scuderia back on track.
For now, Sebastian Vettel is the only driver to have won a Grand Prix outside of the two Mercedes drivers, and it was in Malaysia: « Since the moment I started getting to know the team, I have been pleasantly surprised by the potential, the personnel, and the passion for the brand that is Ferrari. I think it’s difficult to know what to expect. We believe we have had a good start to the season and I am very happy where I am. It’s a dream come true. So far, it’s significantly better than what we expected » he stated.
Since the Malaysian Grand Prix at the end of March, Sebastian Vettel and Ferrari have not won, but the German hopes to catch up with Mercedes for the rest of the season: « We have more reasons to keep dreaming. We know where we want to be. There’s a little way to go. We are happy to give everything we have. The challenge is to bring Ferrari to the top and we are working hard right now. We had an excellent start to the season. The goal is to have a few more victories ».
