Canada: Improved Ferrari and Honda engines
Ferrari and Honda used development tokens before the Canadian Grand Prix to improve their respective power units.

The new hybrid engines introduced at the beginning of the year have had their specifications frozen for the season. However, the engine manufacturers have development tokens to improve their power units during the season, based on what was done before the start of the season. Renault has 12 tokens, Ferrari 10, Honda 9, and Mercedes 7 tokens.
Before the Canadian Grand Prix, taking place this weekend in Montreal, Ferrari and Honda were the first engine manufacturers to use tokens to improve their power units during the season. Ferrari used 3 tokens and Honda 2.
On the Mercedes side, no improvements planned but “new power units” for the two Silver Arrows drivers who have indeed used only one power unit for the first six race weekends of the year. They will therefore use their second power unit of the season for Montreal – while some drivers are already on their third or even fourth.
