Red Bull now has Williams in its sights
Red Bull expects very important developments for the Barcelona Grand Prix, including a new front wing. The Austrian team aims to catch up with Williams by this Sunday but hopes that Renault has also done its part of the work.

Second in the championship in 2014, Red Bull has slipped to fourth position so far. However, after four challenging opening races, the Austrian team is expected to improve its situation with numerous upgrades planned for the opening of the European season, including a new ultra-short wing, which has been planned since January but delayed due to repeated failures in crash tests.
Red Bull, through the voice of the highly influential Doctor Helmut Marko, now believes they can catch up with Williams, their predecessor in the World Championship: “The new package should address the issues we had with the chassis and allow us to make a big leap in terms of performance,” stated Helmut Marko for the Brazilian newspaper Globo. “I think we will be capable of fighting with Williams,” he even predicted.
However, Red Bull’s progress will only be fully visible if Renault manages to solve a good portion of its issues. Marko is well aware of this: « These predictions are only valid, of course, if Renault has done its part of the work. I say that we have only done our job. If we have a car with a good engine, it will allow us to fight for the podium at times ».
In any case, Red Bull can count on the ever-active support of the semi-retired Adrian Newey: Adrian is 100% focused on the project, assured Helmut Marko.
