The Malaysian GP is on the F1 calendar until 2018
At the end of the 2015 event, the Malaysian Prime Minister announced the extension of the Malaysian Grand Prix on the Formula 1 calendar until 2018.

The organizers of the Malaysian Grand Prix have announced that the Sepang circuit will be a part of the F1 World Championship until 2018.
The Malaysian Prime Minister, Najib Razak, announced it at the end of the 2015 edition of the Grand Prix, which saw Sebastian Vettel’s first victory of the season with Ferrari.
Mr. Razak also confirmed that Petronas will be the title sponsor of the event for the next three years. The oil company has supported the Malaysian Grand Prix since its first edition in 1999, which saw Eddie Irvine win with Ferrari.
