Sauber loses its appeal against Van der Garde!
Yesterday, the Supreme Court of the State of Victoria ruled in favor of Giedo van der Garde by obliging Sauber to honor its contractual commitment to the Dutchman. The Swiss team, however, decided to appeal this decision.

After re-analyzing the terms of the contract that bound Sauber and Giedo van der Garde, the judges of the State of Victoria confirmed the decision of the Supreme Court and dismissed the Swiss team’s appeal.
Sauber is therefore forced to run the Dutchman in one of its cars, but Felipe Nasr and Marcus Ericsson also have valid contracts to race this season in the Swiss cars.
« The appeal was dismissed because we found no error in the initial judgment, » explains the Supreme Court in a press release.
Note that Giedo van der Garde did not take the necessary steps to obtain his super license, which is essential for driving in Formula 1 during a race weekend.
