The day after their latest statement announced that the team was ready for Melbourne, provided they pass the final crash tests, Manor Marussia F1 confirmed on Twitter that these tests had been successful. The 2014 Marussia modified for 2015 will therefore head to Melbourne for the first Grand Prix of the season.

« Our big news for today is that we have now passed the FIA crash tests. Well done team! It’s done – we are fully focused on Melbourne, » could be read in a tweet published shortly before 6:00 PM on the team’s official account.

The single-seater will still have to pass conformity checks at the Australian Grand Prix.
