Barcelona Test I – Day 2: Ricciardo Just Ahead of Räikkönen, Hamilton Replaces Rosberg
The top three leaders of the second day of the first Barcelona session, Daniel Ricciardo (Red Bull), Kimi Räikkönen (Ferrari), and Felipe Massa (Williams) are within 98 thousandths.

Daniel Ricciardo finished the second day of testing in Barcelona on top, in a day marked by several race simulations from some teams.
The Australian signed 1:24.574 on soft tires just before the break and was not surpassed afterward, even though he could feel the pressure from Kimi Räikkönen’s Ferrari, which had also set its mark in the morning. The Red Bull completed 142 laps, with a race simulation.
Lewis Hamilton, feverish this Thursday, got back behind the wheel in the afternoon, replacing Nico Rosberg, who was still suffering from a pinched nerve in the neck. The two Mercedes drivers completed a total of 153 laps. The Briton managed to complete 88 laps and a Grand Prix simulation. His fifth-fastest time was achieved on medium tires.
The simulations were interrupted by Carlos Sainz Jr going off into the gravel in the Toro Rosso at turn 9. Marcus Ericsson caused the other red flag in the afternoon.
Fernando Alonso, for his part, experienced a relatively calm day behind the wheel of the McLaren, as the Asturian was able to complete 59 laps despite the team’s concerns following his difficulties on Thursday.
