Jenson Button is satisfied to continue his career in F1 and to be Fernando Alonso’s teammate for the 2015 season at McLaren-Honda. He remains eager to compete. For the 2009 world champion, it means a lot to have a driver like Alonso by his side next season.

Last week McLaren finally unveiled its lineup for the 2015 season. For the Briton, it will be a great challenge to face Fernando Alonso, double world champion.

Running alongside Fernando really means a lot. I think we all know what he has accomplished in F1, and not just in terms of speed but also in the way he works within a team and the fact that he is always fighting. For me, having him as a teammate really means a lot. We have known each other since 2001, we were indeed teammates [at Renault] – I was a race driver, and he was a test driver, then he was promoted to race driver in my place the following season [in 2003]. So we know each other quite well, Button explained, as quoted by *Crash.net*.

Button reflects on the experienced duo he will form with Alonso for Honda’s return as an engine supplier alongside McLaren: « With 500 Grand Prix between us, I think we have good experience, and I believe we will play a major role in helping McLaren Honda achieve great things in the future. Racing alongside Fernando will be a big challenge, but an exciting challenge. I am very much looking forward to it. »
