Mexican sponsors for Ferrari thanks to America Móvil and Gutierrez

The Scuderia Ferrari announced yesterday the arrival of Esteban Gutierrez as a test and reserve driver and unsurprisingly, the arrival of the Mexican is not made alone. Indeed, the former Sauber F1 driver brings with him his long-time sponsors.

Gutierrez arrived in F1 with Sauber, in the shadows from 2010. He was then promoted to test and reserve driver for the Swiss team at the end of 2010, a role he also held for the following two years while simultaneously competing in the GP2 Series. At the beginning of 2013, he made his F1 debut thanks in part to the support of three sponsors, Telmex, Telcel, and Claro, all belonging to the Mexican group America Móvil.

Following his departure from the Sauber team, the continuation of the partnership between the driver and his sponsors was not certain, but with his arrival at Scuderia Ferrari, it’s no surprise that Gutierrez was able to count on his longtime sponsors, even though the Maranello team does not link the arrival of these sponsors to Gutierrez’s arrival.
