McLaren is the first team to announce that its car for the 2015 season has passed all the FIA crash tests, this Friday.

The Woking team, whose car will be powered by a Honda hybrid turbo V6 – 23 years after their last season, will field two experienced drivers: Fernando Alonso, returning after a mixed stint in 2007, and Jenson Button, who will be starting his sixth season at McLaren and the sixteenth of his career.

Although the launch date of its MP4-30 has not yet been revealed, the British team has confirmed that it has passed all the crash tests; a situation that contrasts sharply with last season when the team had to wait until the week before the first winter tests to make such an announcement.

This season, these private tests will begin on February 1st at the Jerez circuit.
