Official: Nico Hülkenberg at the 24 Hours of Le Mans with Porsche in 2015
While he will be a full-time driver for the F1 team Force India in 2015, Nico Hülkenberg has also decided to commit to the 6 Hours of Spa and the 24 Hours of Le Mans with Porsche in endurance racing.

For several decades, commitments of drivers in both Formula 1 and Endurance racing have been rare, especially when they hold a primary position in one or the other discipline.
Nico Hülkenberg will revive this lost tradition as he will be fielded by Porsche in their third 919 Hybrid for the World Endurance Championship races held at Spa and Le Mans.
The German explained that the chance to drive for the German manufacturer on the Sarthe circuit was something that any racing driver would undoubtedly want. I have been a fan of Porsche for a long time and have watched closely their return in LMP1. The desire intensified to drive this car at Le Mans. I am very happy that the 2015 Formula 1 calendar allows for this, and I am grateful to Force India for their generosity in letting me go. Now it’s up to me to work hard to honor both commitments.
You have to go back to 2009 to find a full-time F1 driver who had committed to Le Mans: it was Sébastien Bourdais, who raced with Toro Rosso and Peugeot. This season, André Lotterer competed in the entire Endurance season with Audi and committed to the premier discipline in Spa, with Caterham.
