Bottas hopes to pip Vettel and Alonso to the post in Abu Dhabi
Valtteri Bottas aims for the 4th place in the drivers' championship in Abu Dhabi, a position currently held by Sebastian Vettel who only has a 3-point lead over the Finnish driver, who is in 6th place. Valtteri Bottas is currently in 6th place in the drivers’ championship but just one point behind Fernando Alonso in 5th place and three points behind Sebastian Vettel in 4th place. The Finn hopes to make the most of the Abu Dhabi race and take advantage of the double points to climb two positions.

But Bottas also knows that he is above all a member of a team, which must maintain its 3rd place in the constructors’ championship against Scuderia Ferrari, which is 44 points behind, a gap that can certainly be closed with the double points: « We are trying to consolidate our position in the championship and we will continue to do so, but I can still finish 4th in the drivers’ championship, so I will focus on that aspect as well. »
