The eighteenth round of the 2014 Formula 1 World Championship takes place at the Autodromo José Carlos Pace in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

The Brazilian track is well known to the various drivers and has a strong history in Formula 1. The weather is often unpredictable there and this could be the case again this afternoon.

The Mercedes drivers are candidates for victory, with Rosberg starting from pole and Hamilton alongside him. Both men will have to watch out for the Williams drivers, who have locked out the second row. Behind them, there should be a tight battle between the Red Bull, McLaren, and Ferrari drivers.

The battle for points could also be fought with the Sauber F1 team, which is still hoping for its first points in 2014, and Sahara Force India, whose drivers will start outside the top 10.

On the strategy side, Pirelli plans an optimal three-stop strategy, but traffic and always unpredictable weather in Sao Paulo could thwart these plans. A two-stop strategy cannot be ruled out either.
