Formula 1 is setting up in Russia for the first time in its history, after a Japanese Grand Prix marked by Jules Bianchi’s terrible accident. In a somber atmosphere while waiting for better news about the Marussia driver, the drivers will have to discover and master the track that winds through the streets of the Sochi Olympic Village.

The event is broadcast in France, Belgium, and Switzerland, among others. However, not everyone has the same experience. While Canal+ provides optimal coverage, you have to pay to follow the Grand Prix on the group’s channels. Conversely, the races and qualifications are broadcast for free on RTS and RTBF, but the coverage does not include the broadcast of free practice sessions.

As last year, the editorial team of MotorsInside.com is mobilizing to offer you live commentary, during the qualifying sessions, as well as during the race.

Note that Canal+ will offer a new episode of Onboard on Canal+ Sport, every Wednesday after the race, to broadcast the Grand Prix highlights without commentary, composed only of onboard cameras and a selection of radio communications.

The 2014 Russian GP on the Radio:

You can also follow the Grand Prix – if you don’t have a television, don’t want to subscribe to Canal+, or are on the move – by listening to it on the Radio. The frequencies naturally depend on your location. The times are therefore identical to those presented in the Live. RMC will broadcast the qualifications and the race live thanks to the presence of Jean-Luc Roy, Antoine Arlot, and Patrick Tambay.
