Fernando Alonso has a “plan” to return to the top
In an interview with Sky Sports, Fernando Alonso announced he has a "plan" for his future. McLaren-Honda is the most likely destination, but the Spaniard says he has not made any definitive decisions. More determined than ever to win a third world championship title, the Spanish driver also mentioned his "need to be happy."

Fernando Alonso assures Sky Sports that he has a plan in his head for his future. However, the Spanish driver has not yet announced which team he will be with in 2015. For Sky Sports, if Vettel signs with Ferrari, it means Alonso will head to McLaren to lead the new Honda era. However, the Spanish driver could also take a sabbatical year and return for the 2016 season.
After qualifying at the Suzuka circuit, Alonso spoke to Sky F1, where he announced that he has a “plan” for his future, even though nothing is definitive yet:
« I have not completely decided yet. I have a plan in my head, my mind has been set for the last two or three months. I am in a privileged position because, more or less, I can choose where I want to go and when I want to decide » he announces.
Although everyone is eagerly awaiting an official announcement, Fernando Alonso intends to take his time: “I have gained this notoriety over several years, especially during the last five years at Ferrari, I am part of the transfer movements that we see. So, we will wait a little and when I have cleared my last doubts, I will tell you where I am going,” he said.
The double F1 world champion added that all scenarios are possible, but said that everything is going as planned, and we will wait and see.
The future former teammate of Kimi Räikkönen wants to win a third world title and remains determined to achieve this goal: « There are many possibilities. I want one thing for the coming months, I want to win. I want to be world champion. For my career, I need to be happy. I need many things, and if we put all these ingredients together, we will be in the right direction. And this direction is probably shifting now » he concludes.
