Massa: « Williams will undoubtedly be my last team »
Felipe Massa is reborn at Williams this year. The Brazilian driver spoke to Crash.net, expressing his views on the atmosphere at Grove where he feels respected.

The former Ferrari driver, Felipe Massa, spoke on Crash.net where he expressed feeling respected at Grove, in the Williams F1 factory. During the Italian Grand Prix, Williams announced that their current driver duo will be retained for next season. The Brazilian driver is currently happier at Williams than he was at Ferrari, although he still expects to end his career eventually.
« I don’t know how long I’ll stay here, so I think this might be my last team, really… I think it will be my last team. I don’t know when that will happen, I don’t know when I will stop, but for sure I am a happy man and I want to race as long as possible at the highest level, » Massa declared.
The Brazilian tries to project himself into the future: « I hope I will stay for another two or three years or maybe more, but I don’t know. I don’t think too far ahead, I enjoy the present moment and I hope to have fun for another two or three years, then after that it might be time to stop. »
The 2008 vice-world champion believes that confidence is something important to make the most of one’s potential. At Ferrari, confidence had disappeared: You feel better. I don’t see myself as a leader, I just feel that everything I say, I notice that people are listening and doing it. It has to be like this and it’s something I had lost at Ferrari, the confidence. For me, it’s important, not because you have better or worse results than your teammate, but because everything is important for the team.
He describes the working atmosphere at Williams: « So, I think the team respects me and fully supports me, and I think it’s important for the team, not just for me, but if they’re helping me, they’re helping the team. It’s not that the team does certain things differently for me or for Valtteri, it’s just something they do that’s best for the team and they listened to me. I think it’s important. »
