Fry: Ferrari F1 begins to turn towards 2015
Pat Fry, one of Ferrari's key engineers, stated that the team was gradually starting to focus on their 2015 car rather than developing their current chassis, the F14 T.

Outpaced by Mercedes and Red Bull and battling with Williams for the 3rd place in the Constructors’ Championship, Scuderia Ferrari knows that its 2014 season will not meet expectations, but it intends to bounce back next year. This is why it will start prioritizing the development of its future car.
Pat Fry, the chassis technical director for the Reds, revealed the information on the Italian team’s website: « At this point in the season, the focus at the factory is increasingly shifting towards next year’s car. »
But the Briton was keen to point out that the team would not abandon the development of the F14 T: « However, there is still a lot to learn from track testing, so we will bring specific test parts for next year and other developments for the F14 T, which will aid our understanding for next year. »
Fry also revealed that after the disappointment in Monza – Alonso’s retirement and Räikkönen’s 9th place finish – the Maranello team aims to bounce back this weekend on the streets of Singapore: « After two races at Spa and Monza, held on low downforce circuits, we are heading to Singapore, which is completely the opposite. It’s a city circuit requiring a lot of downforce, where we will use softer and supersoft tires on a track with characteristics similar to Monaco. Monza was a tough weekend for us, so now we focus and will continue to move forward by extracting the maximum from the package we have. »
