Bianchi: « We’re trying to get closer to Sauber »
The accident on the first lap of the Canadian Grand Prix between the Marussia teammates is the talk of the paddock around the red and black motorhome. For Bianchi, the incident is over but not resolved. He prefers to move on.

« We talked. He stuck to his position and I stuck to mine. That’s all I have to say. Everyone saw what happened. He got a penalty and I didn’t », answered Jules Bianchi to the media, whose questions sound like a broken record. He doesn’t dwell on the issue, which is a blemish as Marussia achieves the best season in its history.
Tense when discussing this painful past, Jules Bianchi smiles when talking about the future and a possible transfer. “For now, I have nothing to reveal,” he says, a bit embarrassed. He adds, “Things are starting to evolve, but I prefer to stay focused on my season.” It has been exceptional so far for the Frenchman and Marussia, with the first points in their history for the team and the driver during the Monaco Grand Prix. But this is not the only notable result for Jules Bianchi. He prefers to emphasize the consistency they have achieved with Marussia. “There have been plenty of other races with great results,” he says, visibly anticipating many more.
Marussia seems to have climbed two ranks this season, moving from regularly being last at the back of the grid to being well ahead of Caterham. We were less fast than them at the beginning of the season and now we are ahead of them and just behind the teams in front of us. We’re trying to get closer to Sauber. It’s not easy. A first hint should be given this weekend!
