McLaren unveils its Formula 1 revival plan
After an excellent start to the season in Australia, highlighted by a double podium, McLaren struggles to find continuity in its MP4-29. While no points were scored during the Bahrain and China Grand Prix, the team's management is convinced that changes must be made for more success for the Woking-based team.

According to Autosport, McLaren has conducted a thorough review of its organization, led by Éric Boullier (racing director) and Jonathan Neale (managing director). These changes are expected to bring improvements to the team based in Woking.
Among the points discussed, there would be the signing of new aerodynamicists. According to the British publication, these could be Tony Slater (Sauber) and Guillaume Cattelani (Lotus). These two men would assist the new head of aerodynamics, Peter Prodromou, coming from Red Bull, who will fully assume his duties in 2015. McLaren will also implement specific objectives for each sector of the team, with a requirement for results. Higher responsibilities will be assigned to technical director Tim Goss and engineering director Matt Moris.
So these are internal changes that will be made for McLaren to become competitive again; that’s what Éric Boullier believes, convinced that the progression of the English team will be a giant leap: « McLaren is made up of brilliant individuals, they have won many races and fight for championships. I think it is right to ensure that the same people work together […] with strong leadership, a new level of demand; all of this will help them regain past success ».
« You must do it intelligently. There are great people, and these people have worked together in the past and won races with very fast cars. Once we have this leadership back in place with a clear strategy, then we must ensure that the flow of communication within the company must be simple to quickly regain leadership » he explains.
However, Eric Boullier has no illusions, as the changes made will take time to be implemented, but he remains convinced that McLaren can anticipate a much better continuation of the season.
