Alpine’s new investors make their capital investment official

Alpine had already announced the investment of top sports stars to accompany the arrival of Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney.

Alpine has been officially valued at 900 million euros, after the investment from Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes was officially confirmed.

Kelce and Mahomes, winners of the Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Bowl, have partnered with two-time heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua, major winner Rory McIlroy, footballers Trent Alexander-Arnold and Juan Mata, and investor Roger Ehrenberg to acquire a 24% stake in the team.

« Renault Group and Alpine announce the closing of the transaction announced on June 26, 2023, which consists of a 200 million euro investment in the capital of Alpine Racing Ltd (based in England) by Otro Capital, as part of a 24% equity stake, with the aim of supporting Alpine’s growth strategy and its ambitions in Formula 1. The transaction values Alpine Racing Ltd at approximately 900 million dollars following this investment, which will allow Alpine to develop its image in Formula 1 on a global scale and in areas such as media, sponsorship, ticketing, hospitality, commercial rights management, licenses, and merchandising, explains the statement from the Renault Group.

The investment group named The Investor Group, led by Eddie Jordan, which includes Otro Capital, RedBird Capital Partners, and Maximum Effort Investments, thus valuing the F1 team at approximately 900 million dollars.

On October 17, 2023, Otro Capital announced the arrival of international athletes and sports investors, champions in its group of investors which includes RedBird Capital Partners and Maximum Effort Investments. The arrival of these top investors strengthens the strategic partnership between Otro and Alpine F1, combining expertise in different areas of the sports ecosystem and allowing Alpine F1 to reach new fans.

Alpine had a disappointing season on the track, finishing sixth in the constructors’ championship, after slipping from fourth place in 2022, with Pierre Gasly and Esteban Ocon finishing 11th and 12th respectively in the Drivers’ standings, each securing one podium.
