Red Bull

Red Bull continues a 4th season with the same driver duo. Despite the pressure placed on Sergio Perez and rumors sending him far from the team, Christian Horner keeps his pair that won everything (except Singapore) in 2023. Despite changes in the other teams, Red Bull firmly kept its position as the undisputed leader. The Austrian team was not too worried.

For 2024, Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez will be behind the wheel of the RB20, an evolution of the dominant single-seater. After being handicapped by a limited wind tunnel time (for having exceeded the budget cap in 2021), the new Red Bull might not present major changes compared to the RB19 from Abu Dhabi.

Max Verstappen : End 2028

Sergio Perez: End 2024

Mercedes

Mercedes finished in pain 2nd in the last constructor’s championship. For the next season, the duo that seems to be the most complementary on the grid, will line up for a third time thanks to the extension of Lewis Hamilton.

The 2023 season has been sluggish, with no Grand Prix victory despite hope at the end of the season. The drivers did not feel comfortable in the black single-seater. Having opted for an overhaul of the single-seater midway through the season, with the abandonment of the zero pods project, Mercedes hopes to start 2024 at its best thanks to the W15.

Lewis Hamilton : End 2025

George Russell : End 2025

Ferrari

Ferrari is once again relying on Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc for the next season. However, discussions with the two drivers to go beyond the next season are dragging on. 2024 is shaping up to be a contractual saga at the reds.

The Scuderia finished the year 2023 with a flourish and could have played a nasty trick on Mercedes by snatching the 2nd place in the championship during the last race. With poles in Mexico and Las Vegas, among others, Ferrari will be able to rely on continuity. However, Frederic Vasseur recently stated that the provisionally named 676 would be 95% « different » from the SF-23.

Charles Leclerc: End 2024

Carlos Sainz: End 2024

McLaren

For the next season, McLaren was largely convinced by its rookie Oscar Piastri. The English team will line up the same set of young drivers, after a very eventful season.

The MCL60 showed some very interesting things in the second half of 2023. After six chaotic first months, McLaren carried out an almost impeccable development, allowing the two drivers to tease Max Verstappen a few times. Andrea Stella’s team should enter 2024 with confidence.

Lando Norris : End 2025

Oscar Piastri: End 2026

Aston Martin

Fernando Alonso, unsurprisingly, will continue in Formula 1 with a second consecutive year alongside Lance Stroll. If the Canadian has been in difficulty for a large part of the 2023 season, Fernando Alonso showed the ardor of a 25-year-old driver with consistently impressive performances.

The AMR23 arrived in Bahrain last March with a very solid performance level, before having trouble evolving over the length of the season. However, the stable has repeatedly claimed to have quickly turned to the single-seater way for 2024.

Fernando Alonso: End 2024

Lance Stroll: Duration not communicated

Alpine

Alpine initiated a new 100% French duo in 2023, which will be the same for 2024. If the two drivers have not shown an insufficient level, the problems of the single-seater and the instability during the season within the team did not make their task easier.

The A524 should be very different from the one used in 2023, according to the team’s statements. The single-seater should have evolved considerably, after major reliability problems and performance deficiencies, not just engine-related.

Pierre Gasly: End 2024

Esteban Ocon : End 2024

Williams

The British stable was the last to formalize its driver duo for 2024. It will be exactly the same as during the previous exercise. If Alexander Albon had validated his ticket for 2024 after a very solid season on his part, Logan Sargent raised some doubts.

The FW45 is difficult to analyze. The difference between the two drivers was so obvious that it is hard to judge whether the car was strong with a Logan Sargent not at his best or a single-seater in difficulty with Alexander Albon who had an exceptional season.

Alexander Albon : End 2024

Logan Sargent : End of 2024

AlphaTauri

The year 2023 at AlphaTauri was very eventful with a total of four different drivers who raced on Sunday. However, it was the duo Yuki Tsunoda – Daniel Ricciardo who was chosen by the Italian team.

The 2024 single-seater could be competitive, unlike previous seasons. The end of 2023 was very encouraging at AlphaTauri, with two very effective drivers on track. In addition, the Italian firm could buy parts of the RB19 for the following year.

Yuki Tsunoda : End 2024

Daniel Ricciardo: End of 2024

Clean

In 2024, Sauber, formerly Alfa Romeo, decided to trust Valtteri Bottas and Guanyu Zhou for a 3rd year. This is the first season, waiting for 2026, where Sauber will be in a transition waiting for the arrival of Audi.

The next season looks very unclear. The C43 presented numerous weaknesses over the past year. Moreover, the departure of Alfa Romeo hardens the prediction for the following year.

Valtteri Bottas : End 2024 but extension option

Guanyu Zhou : End 2024

Haas

Haas will rely on the solid experience of Kevin Magnussen and Nico Hülkenberg, next season again, to recover from the delicate year 2023.

With a limited budget (the smallest in the paddock), Haas will struggle to develop the successor to the VF-23. The 2023 version of the single-seater has shown obvious limitations and its development was not very successful over the year.

Nico Hülkenberg : End 2024

Kevin Magnussen : End 2024

The year 2024 promises to be eventful in the teams, with more than half of the grid transferable.
