Saturday: Vettel and Red Bull had a scare but remain ahead
After a perfect start to the weekend in Singapore, Sebastian Vettel continues his show by securing pole position ahead of Nico Rosberg, his 5th of the season and already the 41st of his career. However, the team's risky strategy nearly cost him this valuable spot. His teammate Mark Webber will start from 4th position.

Sebastian Vettel – 1st and 1st
« It was quite a strange feeling at the end of Q3… It’s already strange enough when you’re standing in the garage after just two minutes of session, but much worse when you see others making their final attempt while being unable to beat you. I was watching the sector times of Romain, Nico, and Mark in particular. Mark started with the best time in sector 1, then Nico in sector 2, then Romain, but fortunately, my last sector was fast enough to stay ahead. It could have gone wrong, but I’m very happy with the result. The car was phenomenal this weekend. Yesterday, the gap at the front was a bit of a surprise, but today it was pretty much what we expected compared to the Mercedes. »
Mark Webber – 4th and 4th
« I’m a bit disappointed to be only fourth because it was quite close and the times were good. We’re on the second row, but it would always be better to be on the first row! It’s a long race waiting for us tomorrow, and we can do something from there, as we can rely on a very good car in the race. »
