Sunday: Hülkenberg and Sauber hoped to score a point… in vain
Nico Hülkenberg believes he could have left Hungary with a point if not for the penalty he received during the race for speeding in the pit lane. Gutiérrez, on the other hand, regrets being a victim of a gearbox problem and hopes to soon experience a weekend without technical issues.

Nico Hülkenberg – 11th:
The race was going well until the second pit stop. I had trouble shifting from first to second gear. There is a precise window to do it, otherwise it won’t work. It didn’t work, I got agitated and released the [speed limiter] button too early. Without the Drive Through, we could have scored a point.
Overall, our pace was good but not enough to easily get into the points. Now, I look forward to enjoying the next three weeks, going to the sun, and relaxing on the beach.
Esteban Gutierrez – Abandonment:
« What happened is unfortunate. We were on a good strategy and everything was going according to plan. Unfortunately, we had to withdraw due to a gearbox problem. It’s not really the best way to finish a race, but we did everything we could over the weekend. We had an engine problem yesterday and today it was the gearbox, so it’s something we need to look into to prevent it from happening again.
It’s frustrating, but we have to stay positive and look forward to the next event because we could see that our performance has improved. The car seemed very good, and I want to thank the team for all the efforts it puts in. Now, we must solve the problems we had in order to have smoother weekends.
