The FIA awards ceremony will be live-streamed on YouTube

Traditionally in Paris, the FIA organizes its annual awards ceremony in Baku, Azerbaijan this year. The ceremony will take place on Friday, December 8th and will be broadcasted on the FIA's official YouTube channel.

This year, the FIA Prize Ceremony will take place on Friday, December 8, 2023 in Baku, Azerbaijan. This event will also be broadcast live on the official FIA YouTube channel. It will be attended by Mohammed Ben Sulayem, the president of the FIA.

It is during the gala of this ceremony that the various prizes for championships governed by the FIA will be awarded to the drivers. Among them, we obviously find Formula 1, but also the endurance championship (WEC), rally-raid (WRC), rallycross (WRX), Formula E, and the karting world championships. For Formula 1, Max Verstappen will receive the driver’s world championship trophy, and Christian Horner will receive the constructor’s championship trophy for Red Bull. Sergio Perez, the vice champion, and Lewis Hamilton, third place, should also be present to receive their trophies.

The President of the FIA, Mohammed Ben Sulayem (MBS), and Anar Alakbarov, President of the Azerbaijan Automobile Federation, expressed their satisfaction with the holding of the FIA awards ceremony in Baku, via a press release.

« I am delighted to confirm that Baku will be hosting the Annual General Assembly week in 2023. I am grateful to Mr. Anar Alakbarov and his team for their commitment and dedication in providing compelling arguments in favor of the wonderful city of Baku as the host venue. It is important for the geographical expansion of FIA activity and member participation that we organize key FIA events in countries like Azerbaijan. Organizing FIA events like this will also stimulate interest and growth in motorsport in the region », said MBS.
